• Bourne Outdoor Swimming Pool: Not adventurous enough for the cold lakes? Well, this heated outdoor swimming pool is the perfect place to have a relaxing dip. Did we mention there’s also a children’s pool and a splash pad? Great for a fun day out with the kids before the winter chill sets in!
• River Glen: This nature reserve is a great place to go for a walk or a bike ride. Be sure to bring your best pair of binoculars to enjoy watching some amazing wildlife.
• Bourne Woods: Nothing says autumn like the magical flamboyant leaves falling from the trees… Visit Bourne Woods, an ancient, enchanting woodland, wonderful for a walk or a (teddy bear’s) picnic. There are a number of family-friendly trails for walking, cycling, and horse riding.

Indoor activities

• Stamford Leisure Pool: A wave machine, water slide, AND a hot tub?! What more could you want for a family day out that will keep the kids active? There’s also a children’s pool and a splash pad at this indoor leisure facility.
• Stamford Museum: Who doesn’t love a wander around the gorgeous Georgian town of Stamford? Have you ever considered learning a little about its history? This museum is housed in a historic building and tells the story of Stamford, Lincolnshire.
• The Yard Stamford: This indoor soft play area is a popular choice for keeping the little ones entertained. Bring along some friends or make some new ones at The Yard. You will also find a café for ‘fuelling grown ups with coffee and cake!’.

Other activities

• Paint A Pot Place: This pottery café in Bourne allows you to paint your own pottery. It’s a great activity for all ages and a fun way to create your own unique souvenirs.
• Dino Golf: Combining adventure golf with dinosaurs – genius! Located in the heart of Spalding, this is a great activity for all ages and great for some friendly competition.

• Tyrrells Farm Pick Your Own Pumpkins: It’s spooky season! This farm allows you to pick your own pumpkins during the autumn months, and this is the best week for it. It’s a great activity for all ages and a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit.
• Scalextric Racing: This Scalextric racing track is located just outside Spalding and is a great activity for all ages. You can race your own cars or compete against others.
• Easton Walled Gardens: These beautiful, landscaped gardens on the site of a 16^th-century manor house are a great place to go for a walk and soak up the views.
• Fun Farm Spalding: Sat right next to Baytree Garden Centre, this three storey children’s soft play area has slides, ball canons and more! Whilst the main play area is for children up to 12 years, there are also areas for under 4’s and under 18 months.
• Planet Ice Arena Peterborough: Get your skates on! This ice rink offers public skating, ice hockey, and curling. It’s also home to the Peterborough Phantoms ice hockey team – and is therefore a great place to watch a game.
