MoreStore’s ongoing support for Bourne-based charity Don’t Lose Hope

MoreStore Self Storage is proud to support Don’t Lose Hope, a vital mental health charity in Bourne. Over the last year, the MoreStore team have engaged in a range of activities to support Don’t Lose Hope’s mission of providing affordable and professional mental health services to the local community.

In October, MoreStore’s staff volunteered their time to help lay the groundwork for Don’t Lose Hope’s new SIPs building. This new space was designed to provide a safe, quiet area for visitors to enjoy some peace among the tranquil gardens. MoreStore were invited back in December to attend the grand opening of the building.

MoreStore’s Director, Dan Hiblin, said this “We were honoured to attend the grand opening of the SIPs building, marking an important milestone for Don’t Lose Hope”.

“The event showcased the power of community support, with a photo wall commemorating the volunteers and sponsors who helped bring the project to life. Our team felt privileged to play a small part in creating this meaningful space that will benefit so many people in need of mental health support”.

“We’re passionate about mental health awareness, and hope to continue to support Don’t Lose Hope with future fundraising activities”.

In addition to MoreStore’s hands-on involvement with the shed project, their team also took part in a ‘Tea & Talk’ fundraising initiative within the office for World Mental Health Day. This activity encouraged staff to bring in their own bakes, chat over a cup of tea, and donate to Don’t Lose Hope.

Funds raised for Don’t Lose Hope go directly towards supporting their critical services in Bourne, these include:

  • Professional counselling (a £25 donation provides one session)
  • A welcoming café
  • A gift shop
  • A community garden and two shed buildings

All of which help foster connection and support for those struggling with their mental health.

Looking ahead, the company is also arranging for its staff to undergo mental health first aid training. This initiative reflects MoreStore’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness and fostering a supportive environment for mental health, both within the organisation and in the wider community of Bourne.

Don’t Lose Hope remains a charity close to MoreStore’s heart, and the company is honoured to play a small part in supporting its invaluable work.
